Checking In & Out

Check in time on Saturday is anytime from 12pm and onward and check out time is by 9 am the following Saturday. If you would like to check in sooner than noon, we will do our best to accommodate you, pending when the previous occupants have checked out and our turn around time to get the cabin in tip top shape for your stay.

Our boat-house, office and parking lot are at the north end of Aberdeen Street right on the Chapleau Lake. The cabins are on a boat-access only island that is a 10-15 minute boat ride. Because of this boat ride, please be sure to arrive here at least an hour before dark, to give yourself time to unload and check in.

When you arrive at our boat-house in Chapleau, you will be greeted by Daryl and he will help you unload your gear into our large work boat which will be taken to your cabin. Your fishing boats will also be ready at our dock, where you can load your fishing gear and you can use your assigned fishing boats to follow the boat with the baggage to your cabin. The distance from the boat-house to the cabins is two and a quarter miles.

When you arrive at your cabin, you will be greeted by Sara and your luggage. She will help you get situated with the cabin and the camp, answer any questions and collect payment when you are ready. You can pay by either cash or credit card.

During your stay with us you can use your fishing boats to easily get back to where your car is parked. You might want to do that to get supplies from the stores in Chapleau, have a meal at a restaurant or drive your car on a sightseeing expedition. We also make daily trips to town, so don’t be shy to reach out and ask as we are more than happy to pick up anything your group may need.

At the end of your stay If you want help bringing your luggage to the boathouse, we can help you with the work boat anytime on Friday, or before 7 am on Saturday. Please call or text Daryl to schedule a time by end of day Thursday.
