Calling all nature lovers and adventure seekers! Ready to explore the serene lakes of Northern Ontario? Our Experience Fishing program is your gateway to discovering the beauty of this remote Northern landscape.

Our Experience Fishing program is for people that would like to experience the wonderful world of Northern Ontario Fishing, safely with a professional instructor. We will make sure that you have everything you need to learn how to fish in a safe and fun environment, while surrounded by the majestic scenery of the Canadian Shield.

 Not only will you learn how to fish, but you will also get to experience a variety of activities and adventures suitable for the whole family.

Activities included in your stay!

 Learn How To:

  • safely start/stop and drive your boat, park at the dock with confidence, tie it up securely, and get in and out with ease

  • set up your fishing line, bait your hook, catch and release your fish or keep your fish for dinner

  • safely fish from your boat, the shore or dock

  • safely and confidently build and start your own campfire

  • fillet your own fish OR we will fillet your fish for you!

Guided Adventures:

  • Guided Fishing Excursion

  • Guided Nature Walk exploring the island

    • with the opportunity to forage what is in season, like wild blueberries in July

  • Guided Boat Tour to take in and capture the scenery and wildlife

  • Guided Canoe tour around the chain of lakes

Family Games/Activities:

  • Organized Afternoon of Outdoor Games:

    • Choose from games like Scavenger Hunt, Capture the Flag, Predator vs. Prey, Tug of War, Balloon Toss, Relay Race etc. Group size determines what games can be played.

  • Stargazing on the dock – Northern Lights season is July to September

  • Outdoor games: Spike Ball, Can Jam, Horeshoe’s, Bacci Ball, Volleyball, Badminton etc.

  • Indoor games: Large selection of board games and card games in our Library

  • Crafts, painting, face painting, colouring and puzzles for kids

Traditional Activities:

  • Traditional Fire - Learn about the history and importance of a traditional indigenous fire. Pick up a drum or shaker and join in the making of music or just sit back and listen.

  • Make your own traditional rawhide shaker/rattle. Learn the history and benefits of using a shaker, especially one you made with your own hands with what nature provides.

Photos:

  • During your stay with us, we will capture photos of you as you experience Northern Ontario and reconnect with Nature

  • At the end of the week we will create a short reel of your adventures with a song of your choice for you to show your family and friends and share on Instagram or Facebook if you like!

Pricing Details:

When you book your stay with us included is your own cabin that you will have to yourself, with a fully furnished kitchen, bathroom, and enough beds to accommodate your group.

Included in your booking is one 6hp boat for every two persons with unlimited gas.

Price per Adult: $1000

Children under 16: $800

*Under 3 years old is free

Please Note: Meals are not included with your stay, but your cabin has a full kitchen and BBQ. There is a grocery store in town or you can bring your groceries from home.

Upon booking, you will be sent a list of what to pack for your week. Don’t worry about fishing gear if you don’t have any. We’ve got you covered!
