What to bring and what we supply

What to Bring

  • For guests that do not have a life jacket, we do supply a standard life jacket, but recommend you bring your own for a proper fit.

Our boats have a swivel seats that have pads on the back and seat. For added comfort we do have additional cushions but if you want to bring your own boat seat, please go ahead.

A flashlight for each boat in your group

    • Pillows and a sleeping bag/blankets. Your mattress will be dressed with a fresh, clean fitted sheet.

    • Toiletries

    • Towels

    • Toilet Paper

    • Paper Towels

    • Ziploc bags for packing fish

  • Visitors from the U.S.A. can bring two weeks worth of food through customs duty free. We suggest that you bring enough food from home to last you at least two days. There is a good grocery store in Chapleau that you can shop at if you don’t want to bring a week’s worth of groceries.

Please note there is no longer a Beer store in Chapleau. The last Beer Store before Chapleau is in Wawa. The LCBO is still available in town and the convenience store carries a limited selection as well.

  • Your regular equipment including a landing net and fillet knife. Consider bringing for each boat a large plastic bucket for keeping fish while you are in the boat. Many a nice catch are lost because a stringer broke or a clip opened up. The buckets can do double duty as containers on your trip to and from Chapleau.
