Bait Availability
The Sunday before your trip, Daryl will reach out with a phone call to take any bait orders and have it ready in your cabin when you arrive.
If you wish to bring your own bait, remember that customs will not allow you to bring soil across the border, but will allow you to bring them in artificial bedding.
If you wish to purchase your own night crawlers while here, see info below.
For Walleye and Northern Pike we use artificial lures and night crawlers. For perch, night crawlers work best here.
In Chapleau, night-crawlers, tackle and lures are available at Collins Home Hardware Store in the main business block in downtown Chapleau. Store hours are 7:30 to 5:00 Monday to Saturday. Tel: 705-864-1030. For a flat of worms call ahead and they will have it ready for you.
Also in Chapleau, night-crawlers, minnows and leaches are available at the 101 Gas Station and Trading Post, just outside Chapleau.
Here is how to get here: At the southern edge of Chapleau is the junction of Hwy. 101 East which heads towards Timmins. Drive along it about three minutes and you will see the gas station on your right. There you can also buy an entire flat of worms. For a flat of worms call ahead and they will have it ready for you.

If you wish to fish with minnows please remember that the regulations stipulate that they be acquired from a licensed dealer who trapped the minnows in the same Fishery Management Zone
